The Climate Map is a nonprofit developing open-access methods, data sets, and decision-making tools that shed new light and spur action on climate change response opportunities and priorities.
Our current focus is on greenhouse gas removal and storage (GGRS) techniques - specifically, we're working to make the possibilities, realities, interconnections, and critical-path priorities in this field more readily apparent to philanthropists, corporations, and policymakers.
We work from first principles to identify and taxonomize any and all known techniques.
We build visual process maps to fully grapple with practical realities - such as lifecycle emissions, resource requirements, and costs - and to uncover new interconnections and possibilities.
We work with expert collaborators and available evidence to assess techniques - in an unbiased and transparent way - against key criteria.
Our methodology and data will be fully accessible and transparent.
Interpretation for action
Finally, we work with expert collaborators to make sense of our aggregated data and findings, and highlight important possibilities and priorities for action.
"I have not seen anything that’s worthy of the word plan [to fight climate change]."
"We are in the race of our lives … and we are not winning."
"Be open to the idea that there's more that we can do. Because there's just way more that we can do."
